Early August after 3 hours on 1 maths paper and lots of tears I decided enough was enough on the stress front for both my daughter and myself and we should withdraw from the exam. "My daughter only decided she wanted to take the test towards the end of July. With very little time before she would actually take the test and the fact that she had never seen any of the verbal reasoning questions before, we knew it would be hard if not impossible for her to pass but we supported her decision anyway. I rang Kerry and asked if she would be willing to take her on at such late notice as other tutors I had asked had refused but Kerry was optimistic whilst being realistic. She explained that yes it would be very hard but was happy to tutor her. My daughter is an extremely shy child and I was worried about how she would find Kerry but after meeting her my mind was put totally at ease, she is lovely and G took to her straight away. Kerry worked with her once a week initially but with breaks in between (holidays which had been booked), for the last few weeks twice a week. "My daughter only decided she wanted to take the test towards the end of July. With very little time before she would actually take the test and the fact that she had never seen any of the verbal reasoning questions before, we knew it would be hard if not impossible for her to pass but we supported her decision anyway. I rang Kerry and asked if she would be willing to take her on at such late notice as other tutors I had asked had refused but Kerry was optimistic whilst being realistic. She explained that yes it would be very hard but was happy to tutor her. My daughter is an extremely shy child and I was worried about how she would find Kerry but after meeting her my mind was put totally at ease, she is lovely and G took to her straight away. Kerry worked with her once a week initially but with breaks in between (holidays which had been booked), for the last few weeks twice a week. During her tutoring I was so pleased to see the bond build between Kerry and G, which was very unusual for her, G looked forward to her sessions and was keen to complete any homework which was set for her. I am happy to say that when the test came around G passed. I know that without Kerry's help she couldn't have done it, but not just the help, the personal attention she gives and the magical way she has with children. I would highly recommend Kerry in a heartbeat, and her methods, patience and warm personality fully supported G in preparing for the 11+."
